Nathan Baldwin
Project Geoscientist
B.S., Environmental Geoscience – Geology, Slippery Rock University
Mr. Baldwin is a Project Geoscientist with experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis, data management, mobile workflow implementation, and figure production; MS4 stormwater control measure and maintenance facility inspections and corrective maintenance construction oversight; conceptual groundwater modeling and mapping; wetland and stream delineation; and general data entry, management, and interoperability. He has a broad base of project field experiences in various disciplines, including archaeology, wetland delineation, municipal utility infrastructure inventory, Environmental Due Diligence and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, acid mine drainage investigation & brownfields remediation, geotechnical & environmental drilling oversight, and MS4 stormwater control measure inspections and corrective maintenance construction oversight. His career has spanned several industries, including environmental consulting, transportation, municipal government, utility infrastructure, and autonomous vehicle development. He has also served as a non-supervisory mentor to junior GIS staff in prior roles. His software proficiencies include ArcGIS Pro, Bentley MicroStation, Erdas Imagine, and Microsoft Office.

Representative Projects:
Environmental Site Assessment
Performed site walk investigation to determine the presence of recognized environmental conditions, hazardous spills, or contaminants on the site or surrounding area
Produced assessment reports based on observed data
Completed to meet ASTM-E1527
Acid Mine Drainage Investigation
Post-processed high resolution LiDAR drone imagery and elevation data
Performed pre- and post-visit GIS reconnaissance and hydrologic modeling to identify anticipated surficial hydrology patterns and compare to observed real-world site conditions
Conducted smoke and dye tests to identify potential infiltration and inflow points.
Superfund Site
Performed subsurface hydrologic modeling and generated groundwater potentiometric surface contours by hand and assisted by GIS interpolation methods
Contributed analytical results summary and hydrogeologic interpretation to groundwater monitoring reports
Created regional geology and hydrogeology maps and cross sections, and contributed summary text to the Remedial Investigation report.
